Early Life and Career

WEB Diosdado Pangan Macapagal was born on September 28, 1910, in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. He pursued a law degree and was admitted to the bar upon graduation. Macapagal initially entered politics as a member of the House of Representatives in 1949.

Presidency (1961-1965)

Macapagal was elected as the ninth President of the Philippines in 1961. During his presidency, he implemented significant reforms and policies, including:
